Not on the list? Since August 1, 2026, unlisted occupations in a priority sector may be considered case by case, only for TEER 0–3 roles where the candidate has held the same job in the same place for 6+ months.
The grid doesn’t spell out how sector and occupation points combine; it caps the job offer at 25, which matches adding them.

How Thunder Bay picks candidates
Scores of 50 or more (at least 10 per factor) enter the pool. The CEDC draws monthly; the highest scores are assessed further and may be interviewed. Ties go to the earliest submission; unselected applications stay up to 6 months.
What Thunder Bay asks for
- Your work permit must have at least 4 months left when the employer submits; maintained status is no longer accepted.
- Pay must stay at or above the regional "low" Job Bank wage through PR processing.
- Not eligible: gas stations, convenience stores, fast-food and counter-service restaurants, staffing agencies.
- The recommendation certificate is valid 6 months and can’t be extended.
On top of what IRCC asks of everyone.
